What Kind of Time Dedication Would This Require?
Board members are expected to attend bi-monthly board meetings throughout the year.
In the months leading up to our annual event, meetings increase to one meeting every two weeks to ensure preparations run smoothly.
Depending on your role, additional tasks may be required. For example, board members responsible for sponsorships may be asked to send sponsorship requests to local businesses a few months prior to the event.
What Happens If I Miss A Meeting?
If a board member misses three consecutive meetings, the board will review their position and may consider dismissal. Approved leaves of absence are acceptable if situations arise at home or in personal life.
Term Length?
Each position has a 2-year term, and members may renew their term up to three additional times.
A full 2-year term typically includes approximately 14 board meetings, so the time commitment is not overly demanding.
